This stuff is magical.  I've gone without a body scrub for awhile and my skin is desperately needing exfoliation, so I'll be picking some up soon for sure.

I picked up a new set of luggage this week, one more in my price range, but it took a lot of will power to not buy several of these pieces!

How fun are these?

My computer crashed this week, so I've had several logistical issues with blogging.  This post has been in draft form for several days and deleted itself four times last night while I was working on it; so frustrating! I'm hoping all the technical issues will work out soon so I can post again soon.

I got my wish for warmer weekend weather, which makes for a very happy Kathryn!  My roommates and I drove to Carmel and Monterey for the afternoon today.  We did some shopping at Anthropologie (and got some sweet deals!), stopped into some little photo galleries, drove through Pebble Beach and gawked at the homes, and were a little touristy in Monterey, looking at the ocean, sea lions, and pelicans. 

Even with the sun shining today, it was, as usual, breezy, especially near the ocean, so I was glad I had decided on adding scarf since my sweater is pretty thin.

Today was on the cooler side and breezy; I ended up needing to add a cardigan to my outfit when I went to work.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather warms up for the upcoming weekend. 

This skirt is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe.  It's the perfect length for when I need to wear something professional, and the color is gorgeous.  I usually pair it with nude heels or wedges, but today I though the leopard print would be a nice touch.

P.S. How great is Miran's photography?  I love working with her!

As fate would have it, one of my new summer roommates has a kick-ass camera, a knack for photography, and has sweetly offered to help me out with taking some pictures for my burgeoning blog!  I'm beyond excited to work with her and loving the pictures she took for me this evening after work.  Thank you, Miran! You'll be seeing more of her work in the days to come.

My Anthropologie tote I ordered came in the mail last week, and I've been carrying it around non-stop.  It's incredibly roomy, and I love the mixing of prints and futuristic looking silver trim - as well as the fact that I got it on sale!

Not only do I love the color of this polish, but Butter London has one of the few nail polish lines I've found that doesn't test their products on animals, which is something I always take into consideration when purchasing beauty products!

Wednesday Wear

Top - Forever 21.  Blazer - H&M.  Skirt - BCBG.   Booties - Urban Outfitters.  

Usually I don't like to wear pencil skirts to work; they can be restricting, and since I work as a music instructor with kids, it's really important for me to be able to move with ease throughout the day.  I love wearing this BCBG one because it's so incredibly comfortable.   I'm going to make this a short post because it's been a long day...and is already past my bedtime! 

Thanks to Sherrie for taking pictures for me!  We'll hopefully get to experiment with the lighting in the backyard a little more in the upcoming days.

Spending the weekend catching up on much needed sleep, spending time with my boyfriend who just got back from Scottsdale (and helped me oh-so-very-much by taking pictures for me!), and apartment hunting.  

This is also my first attempt at posting pictures of myself.  Loving that I can wear shorts, thanks to the warmer weather!

A Blog is Born

Welcome to my blog!

A new blogging beginning at the beginning of a new week (and an effort to combat a serious case of the Mondays)!  I've been wanting to start a blog for some time now, so I'm excited to finally have started on this personal project.

A little about myself and my blog:  a soon-to-be graduate student in the fall, from southern California but currently residing in northern California near(ish) the Bay Area, a violinist, convinced blondes do have more fun, and hoping that this blog can be a fun outlet for me to express my musings on style, fashion, current obsessions, and the happenings in my life.
