Fall is officially here, though it's been warm enough for me to get away with layering over light summer dresses.  I have mixed feelings on the changing weather, however: on one hand, I want to hold onto the vestiges of summer for as long as I possibly can, but I'm also looking forward to putting boots and scarves into a regular rotation.  

In other news, graduate school is slowly crushing my soul, so I'm keeping this post short and sweet.  Happy hump day!

100% Pure

I was running low on body scrub and happened to wander into a little beauty shop on Santana Row in hopes that I could find a replacement recently.  Not only did I find an amazing body coconut scented body scrub, but I have a brand new beauty obsession with the 100% Pure line of products!  I make an effort to only purchase beauty products that don't use animal testing, and I found that not only is 100% Pure cruelty free, but all of the products are either vegan or vegetarian and are made from 100% natural ingredients.  I went back a few days later and picked up a new lipstick as well.  I'm quickly on my way to becoming a devoted fan!

This dress is my newest favorite Anthropologie purchase; it happened to be on sale as a promo last week when I stopped by, and after trying it on and seeing how flattering it was, I bought it!  I wore it for the first time last night for Back to School Night at the elementary school where I'm doing my fieldwork currently.

Labor Day Weekend

I wish every weekend could be Labor Day Weekend.  I was lucky enough to not have class or fieldwork on Friday, so I had an extra day to relax, run errands, spend time with family and friends, catch up on sleep, and do a little shopping. 

I wore this outfit on Saturday; my boyfriend and his roommates had a little housewarming party, and since this is a skirt that I absolutely could not wear to work, I decided to wear it while the weather is still nice.
